Maurice-Daniel Andret, owner of MACAPA Golf, is highly regarded for his expertise in both custom fitting and precision club building. Educated as a mechanical research and development engineer and designer, Maurice combines technical knowledge with a true passion for golf. For nearly three decades, he has earned an exceptional reputation for helping golfers improve their performance with custom-built equipment that delivers real results.

At MACAPA Golf, Every fitting session begins with a complete golf assessment. Maurice first analyzes the golfer’s current equipment, often uncovering the real causes of inconsistent performance, such as mismatched clubs, incorrect lofts and lies, poor swing weighting, inconsistent shaft flexes, improper club lengths, or unsuitable grip sizes.

He then studies the golfer’s swing using advanced tools, including a launch monitor, shaft sensor technology that measures detailed shaft movement, and AI-based applications. After reviewing all of the data and discussing the golfer’s goals, Maurice selects the best clubhead and shaft combinations for the golfer to test and approve.

For golfers who do not have access to a reputable club fitter near them, Maurice can also provide remote fitting support. He works with swing data from a teaching professional or launch monitor, along with front-view and side-view videos of the golfer’s swing. After carefully studying the information and speaking with the golfer, Maurice can build and send one sample club for testing. Once the golfer approves the results, he completes the remaining clubs to the same exact specifications.

A true perfectionist, Maurice personally handcrafts every custom club to ensure that each specification is precise. His goal is to give every golfer a true “tour build” experience.

Many leading golf coaches, including Nicolas Jungblutt, PGA, and Olivier Chalon, PGA, also work with Maurice during the fitting process, giving golfers the benefit of a complete performance team.
