High Handicap

High Handicap:

High handicap is considered to be 20 or above … scoring in the mid 90’s and into the 100’s .   This is the largest category of golfers.   Statistically, high-handicappers are comprised of 55% of all male golfers and 80% of all female golfers.

The most important thing for a high-handicapper to do is:  GET FIT.  Whether you are a beginner or have been playing your whole life GOLF IS EASIER AND MORE FUN when you use equipment that is fit and built to your body and swing style.

There are so many options to help the high-handicap golfer.   Drivers with higher lofts to help get the ball into a higher trajectory.   Fairway Woods with low center of gravity to help get the ball launched.  Hybrids are so much easier to hit than irons and they hit the ball further.  Irons, with big faces, low center of gravity and lots of perimeter weighting for ease of play.

You may have swing flaws developed over the years from using ill-fitting clubs.  You can get fit and relearn your swing.  Or, if you are not going to change your swing, a good fitter can select clubs that can compensate for swing flaws.
